Our Approach
At FLYLOG.io, we make it easy to create and maintain your flight records while keeping your data secure. In the Import section, you can upload exported flight data from a wide range of airlines and scheduling systems—simply select the appropriate option, upload your file, and FLYLOG.io takes care of the rest.
We deliberately avoid methods such as storing airline login credentials or using screen-scraping tools, as these introduce security, privacy, and legal risks. Instead, our approach is built on a secure, compliant, and efficient file import process, giving you full control of your records.
Why Automatic Sync Is Not Available
The idea of having your flights sync automatically from your employer’s system is attractive, but there are important reasons why FLYLOG.io does not offer this option:
Limited API Access: Most airlines and scheduling systems do not provide a public API that would allow third-party apps to download data automatically.
Security & Policy Restrictions: Many airlines explicitly prohibit the use of third-party tools to log in and retrieve data, in order to protect sensitive information.
Credential Risks: Sharing your personal login details with external software poses a significant security risk.
Policy Violations: Using unauthorized access methods may breach your employer’s IT and data protection policies, potentially leading to disciplinary action.
