Monitoring FTL & Recency

FLYLOG.io helps pilots monitor flight time limitations (FTL), recency requirements, licence currency, and operational flight totals in one place.

The system continuously recalculates your logged flight activity, helping you stay aware of rolling hour limits, takeoff and landing recency, Instrument Rating currency, and other operational requirements based on your selected aviation authority.

To ensure accurate monitoring and calculations, make sure your aviation authority and related settings are configured correctly in Settings. If applicable, also complete the required information in the Licence section, including Skill Ratings and validity dates.

⚠️ Important: EASA pilots should configure their Skill Rating in the Licence section, including the relevant validity and expiration dates, to ensure accurate Instrument Rating (IR) recency tracking.

How to Access

Mobile App: Tap the Totals & Limits button below your total block time on the main screen.

Web App: Open the Totals section from the left navigation menu.

FTL & Recency Monitoring

FLYLOG.io continuously recalculates your flight activity and operational totals based on your logged flights, helping you stay aware of recency requirements, rolling limitations, and licence currency.

The section provides a clear overview of your recent flying activity, operational status, and compliance-related records in one place. This helps you quickly identify approaching limits or determine whether additional flights, landings, or approaches may be required before your next operation.

Additional Tracking

The section also includes detailed operational statistics, function time summaries, aircraft and training records, approaches, custom fields, and other flight data relevant for operational oversight, training review, and authority inspections.

Filters & Customization

Use filters to customize the displayed data based on aircraft categories, time periods, operations, training activity, or other logged records, allowing you to quickly review the information most relevant to your current needs.

⚠️ If you operate both gliders and powered aircraft, we recommend maintaining separate accounts to ensure accurate totals and recency calculations for each category.

💡 Tip: Review your FTL and recency status regularly before roster assignments, proficiency checks, licence renewals, or authority inspections to ensure your records remain current and compliant.
