The Syllabus lets you track pilot training in a structured way. Instructors record completed lessons and link flights to training exercises, students see their progress and upcoming exercises, and everyone works from the same plan, even when several instructors share one student.

FLYLOG.io comes with predefined syllabi for PPL(A) and PPL(H). You can also create your own syllabus for any other course, for example UL, LAPL or a club checkout programme.

💡 Only Admins manage syllabi and enable them for students. Instructors record progress; students view it.

Managing Syllabi

Go to Admin → Syllabus (web app). Here you can:

• Use one of the predefined syllabi (PPL(A), PPL(H)) as they are.

• Create your own syllabus: add the course name, then the stages and exercises in the order they are flown.

• Edit an existing syllabus, for example to match your training organisation's approved programme.

Enabling a Syllabus for a Student

1. Go to Admin → People and open the student's Contact Profile.

2. Under Settings, switch on Enable syllabus and tap the course: PPL (A), PPL (H) or one of your own syllabi.

3. Save. A Syllabus tab now appears in the student's account.

Students

In the Syllabus tab, students see the full training plan, which exercises are completed, what comes next, and remarks from their instructor.

Instructors

After a training flight, the instructor opens the student's syllabus, marks the completed exercises, adds remarks and signs the lesson. Every entry is stored with the flight record, so any instructor can pick up where the last one stopped.

💡 Tip: Enable the syllabus for a student on the day they start training, so the first flight is already linked to the plan.
